Toasted Pecans

This morning I decided to try a new recipe, Cardamom and Rosemary Toasted Nuts, by Tabitha Paculba from Welljourn.org. When I first saw the recipe I knew right away that this was something that I would like. However, I didn't think the toasted nuts would be this good. They are addictive like a bag of chips; once you try one, you can't stop until they are gone...or until your tummy is full.

The recipe calls for Maple syrup, but I used honey instead. Another substitution that I made was dried rosemary instead of fresh.

And at first I wasn't too sure about the amount of cardamom that the recipe calls for as I hardly ever use it in cooking. Normally I only buy the pods or seeds and use them in tea. But I followed the recipe, and to my surprise, the cardamom tasted great!

The recipe was quick and easy to make. And in addition to having a tasty and healthy snack, the whole house was filled with a sweet, spicy aroma.
